Celebrity makeup artist Tina Turnbow created Carly Rae Jepsen’s feminine, flirty look for the 2012 American Music Awards. Carly Rae picked up the coveted new artist-of-the-year award over One Direction, Australian artist Gotye, indie-pop band fun and rapper J. Cole. Her award winning look was created using Votre Vu and here is how Tina Turnbow made it all happen. “We wanted to create a look that would mimic the softness and femininity of Carly’s dress, while still remaining sexy. The colors on her dress were baby pink, teal, and gold â€" very feminine, but it was also very form fitting with an open back that gave it a little edge.  To prep Carly’s Skin, I used the Votre Vu Attentive Serum Delicat Pour Le Visage first and then the Attentive Crème du Jour over to provide a moisturized base for the foundation.

We wanted the focus to be on her eyes, which we wanted to reflect the soft/sexy contrast of her dress. First, I applied the Votre Vu Lingerie Pour Le Yeux to create an even, nude base for the eye shadow to stick to. Then, I swiped a shimmery gold eye shadow by Stila all over the lid to match the dress.


To create the soft, yet defined look for her eyes, I lined them with the Votre Vu Le Joli Crayon in Charbon, smudged it up and out at the edges with the sponge tip to create a slight smoky cat-eye effect, and then applied a black liquid liner on top for more definition. Lastly, I applied two coats of the Votre Vu Eiffel Power Mascara, concentrating more on the outer edges for a more feminine, flirty look.



On her cheeks, I applied the Votre Vu Vu-On Rouge Cheek and Lip Tint in Bouquet Rose, which gave a great natural, pink flush to her cheeks while not taking away the attention from her eyes. For her lips, I lined them with a pale pink lip liner to lighten up the color of the Vu-On Rouge in Bouquet Rose, which I lightly brushed over to give more dimension.


Lastly, I set the whole look by the misting the Votre Vu À Votre Santé spray which doubles as a makeup setting spray. Carly loved it, especially the scent! It gave just the right amount of dewiness to her skin while ensuring that her makeup wouldn’t move throughout the night since she’ll be performing!”

A collaboration with the Italian fashion house Marni and the Estée Lauder company, are set to launch their first fragrance named Marni; to reflect the discreet confidence of a woman. Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni described her fragrance as " The perfume  to reflect Marni’s fashion. Because it’s a perfume that’s quite individual, that doesn't evoke anything in particular. It’s for a woman who dresses for herself, who doesn't follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric."

 The formula was proposed by the designer from a previous perfume formula created by Givaudan perfumer Daniela Andrier. The fragrance was unusual because the characteristics of most perfumes of floral and fruity notes  were avoided. This raw spicy woody formula is now enriched with dark and intense rose oil and incense. Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, the president of Aramis and Designer Fragrances section of Estée Lauder, describes the fragrance as "very modern and bold."


Not forgetting the individuality of the Marni brand is reflected in the design of the bottle as well,  a recreation of an old bottle that the designer found at flea market 20 years ago. "I wanted a bottle that was kind of traditional, that is, one that lasts over time, like the clothes we make, which last and you can still wear two or three years from now. It isn't seasonal. I think this bottle reflects our concept something  you want to keep. It also has the dots, which are part of our world, and a play on proportions with the cap. These elements are also important in our fashion “, said the Castiglioni.Marni fragrance is available in 30, 60 and 125 ml Eau de Parfum and a mini purse bottle that comes with a rag doll. The face of the advertising is Raquel Zimmermann and the photographer is Nick Knight.

This is a one day application, when you shower the product with gently be removed, but again depending on your skin and how you take care of it, which type of soap, body wash or body lotion you use all effect how a product on the top of the skin performs.
